Click and hold  the mouse on the Title picture.
Then drag  and you will be able to control the size and ratio of the picture.

Right click  the title and select Properties .
  • Text Attributes: Change the text font colour to the symbol colour to hide the text.
  • Symbol: Adjust the position of the text box to suit your title.
  • Date & Version: Deselect if not required or use the manual entries under Advanced.
You can use any symbol for a title.  And despite the warnings, you may be able to put text on it. Don't forget your map title will appear at the top of the page anyway, so you probably do not need the title twice.
