bullet2 Formatting your Web Pages

How would you like your web page to have a text column of a specific width (so it is easy to scan like a newspaper) and for it to be in the center of the window. Follow these simple steps:

At the top of the text notes window:-

Right click > Insert HTML > Edit >   Enter "CENTER" in the shortcut box and "<center>" in the large box below and click OK.

This is the HTML code to center align. It does not affect the table contents. Use the normal text alignment tools for this.

Now select the
Table Tool   (or Notes > Table   or Right click > Table ) and create a 1 by 1 or 1 by 2 (for newspaper columns) table. Or in this case I have used 3 columns and the central column is an empty seperator.
Now select the Table Tool  again using the down arrow   by the tool (or Right click > Table or Notes > Table ) to get to Table Width  and decide how to control the width.
    • You can control table width in text notes by dragging the right hand edge of the table to where you want.
    • You can set a % of screen width. Your text line length can be difficult to scan if this % is to high.
    • You can set a number of pixels. I typically use between 400 and 600 depending on font and style required. 600 will obviously fit everyone's screens.
If you have more than one column set the Column Width s as well. Sum of Column Widths must be less than or equal to Table Width. Set Table Width first, then column widths from left to right.  Bewarned that changing any dimension may affect others, MindManager is working on the robustness of the table feature.

To finish it is best to include an end of center alignment HTML code.

As before but call it "/CENTER"and the code is "</center>"
